The team discloses our first preprint and manuscript on ChemRxiv detailing the importance of controlling the applied voltage in electrosynthesis. Our thought experiment started with a simple question: how do we engage protected amine nucleophiles in the venerable Shono oxidation if the substrate itself is often a protected cyclic amine? Siyuan, Leyla, and Bryan demonstrate that through a simple, streamlined electroanalytical workflow one can predict and enable reactivity between desired coupling partners, generating synthetically useful alpha-amination products. Congrats to the team!!
